# WhatsApp Use

WhatsApp Use gives personal agents, internal tools, and agent platforms REST, MCP, and webhook access to an existing WhatsApp account after the account owner completes companion-device pairing.

Primary audience: teams building agents, internal tools, or workflows that need WhatsApp context and controlled send access.

Important constraints:
- This is not the official WhatsApp Business API.
- A 7-day free trial is required before runtime, API key, or MCP authorization access starts.
- After the trial, each connected WhatsApp account is $6/month.
- Pairing requires the WhatsApp account owner.
- REST API keys are for backend/server use.
- Remote MCP uses OAuth and can be kept read-only unless write access is enabled.
